CSH’s Debbie Thiele recently presented at the NAHRO (National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials) National Summer Conference in San Francisco. Her presentation focused on ways that PHAs can partner with service providers to serve people who are homeless and/or have special needs in their Housing Choice Voucher, Public Housing and Project-based Voucher programs. The conference was an exciting opportunity for CSH to continue our work with PHAs and we learned that many PHAs in attendance are reaching out to households who are homeless.
The NAHRO Board of Directors also met during the conference and adopted a resolution to support CSH’s position on sponsor-basing Section 8 subsidies, which would allow nonprofit sponsors to manage rental subsidies for their clients.
