The CSH Connecticut Race Equity Collaborative invites you to the first CT Race Equity in the Field Virtual Summit. The Summit is designed to explore themes presented in the 2019 Race Equity Framework Report for the Connecticut Housing and Homelessness System informed by qualitative data from Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPoC) community members holding experiences of homelessness and/or working in the CT homeless and housing sector.
Participants of the Equity in the Field Summit will gain experiential learnings to become racial transformers and advance race equity with key stakeholders via interpersonal and organizational strategies.
The Equity in The Field Summit is committed to the following principles:
- Centering the voices and leadership of BIPoC and BIPoC holding lived experience of homelessness
- Co-creation of action steps for addressing racial disparities and building a race equity culture
- Use of community-engaged data for development of immediate, short and long-term race equity goals
