Silos to Systems: Solutions for Vulnerable Familes

In October 2011, CSH co-sponsored a convening hosted by the Gates Foundation entitled “Silos to Systems.”  The convening brought together an impressive array of leaders in the nonprofit, government and philanthropic sectors to brainstorm opportunities for cross-systems collaboration to better serve vulnerable families. The summary of the convening describes the innovative strategies that were developed during the session and provides an update on the steps that have been taken to implement these ideas. Most notably, the report explains that there may be opportunities for states to use federal resources to catalyze an expansion of supportive housing models that target child-welfare-involved families, like Keeping Families Together.
