The Testa Companies team that developed and operate Madaline Park graduated from CSH’s Opening New Doors institute in 2009. The team continued to receive support and technical assistance from CSH staff. At the grand opening, Joel Testa, President of Testa Companies, thanked Sally Luken and Ted Jones of CSH for their mentorship. Sixty units of supportive housing were opened with project based vouchers from the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority. Services are provided by Community Support Services with financial support from the Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board of Summit County. The Akron Summit County Continuum of Care and the Info Line, Inc are important partners to this project. Property management for Madaline Park is provided by National Church Residences. The team was been awarded Low Income Housing Tax Credits from the Ohio Housing Finance Agency to complete a second phase of the project adding 60 more units of PSH to the Akron community. Congratulations and thank you to the Testa Companies and the great team at Madaline Park! Please see the grand opening video posted below:
